Our student government strives to re-engage our community by creating an inclusive environment and enabling sustainable success for all students through mindful listening, transparency, and accessibility. Learn more about the different branches that make up the Student Government Association!

Our Branches

There are three branches in Student Government: the executive, the legislative, and the judicial branch. Together, these three branches advocate on behalf of students and explore new ways that the University of Kentucky can service its students.

Executive

The Executive Team is composed of Directors and Coordinators. This team is mainly focused on interfacing with the administration.

Legislative

44 students are elected to the senate each year.

Judicial

The judiciary makes sure that SGA is staying on track.

7 representatives oversee all our operations.
